“The front of the armored balloon's opening.” Helia said. “A large silvery spike is starting to come out...” Lavera kept flying away from the airship. She didn't know what that spike was for, but it couldn't be any good.

“Do you hear something?” Lavera asked.

“Sort of a low hum.” The professor said nodding. “Electrical...” Suddenly their hair began to stand on end. “Electrical...” The wizard continued. “Lavera, take evasive maneuvers!” Professor Fleischer suddenly exclaimed. “They're going to shoot lightning at us!”

“Lightning!?” Lavera and Helia exclaimed.

“The rod must be an electromagnetic superconductor!” The professor shouted over the growing hum. “They're ionizing the air around us, since we're the closest point of discharge, we'll get struck by the lightning!”

BZZZRACK! A thick bolt of blue-white lightning leapt from the silvery spear protruding from the Namestnik's black ship.
